Need a new floorjack

I've got a craftsman 2.25 ton jack that lifts from 5.5 inches, and has seperate pump control from valve control...and it's heavier than my ex-girlfriend (fatty)

Any suggestions on a nice long low Aluminum jack that's not too expensive and has combined valve/pump without removing the bar?

PS. The IE camber plates are the bomb! Less understeer is more better.

Oh come on. You have a 540. If understeer is a problem, you arent using the gas pedal enough :p

I've got their 71230 model -- no lightweight, but they do make quality jacks at a decent price.

That's their steel jack correct? I have their 1.5 ton aluminum/steel jack and really like it. Well priced and good craftsmanship. Lol.

COSTCO! They got the 2 ton aluminum jack... for like $100 or something like that... I got one... I like it... superlight. Pretty good control. It is a double pump so it takes a bit more effort to pump up but faster... about 50% less pump than standard jack.

Yep, I think the 71230 is the basic, no-frills model. Nice professional-type (but heavy) jack for less than $200. I coulda bought another cheap Craftsman SUV jack after I bent my original (yipes) but I figured that twisted trolley arm was a message from God.

My only comments are not to skimp and not to expect a craftsman to last more than a year...

COSTCO rocks in general, superb return policy and unbeatable prices. You might call places in your town that fix jacks and see if they have any real good ones recently rebuilt you could buy.

I'd rather get the 2 tons at costco... the 1.5 ton is significantly smaller in size... makes me worry about stability. They have both... 1.5 and 2 tons.
