Rear Seats

Hey guys,

I've got a 89 520i and im going to be putting on seat covers in the front and rear seats in the next few days and am wondering how the rear seats come off. anybody know how the rear seats come out? and is it a difficult job to do?

Pull up on the front of the rear seat, right in the middle.

You'll have to pull a lot harder then you would think, they have 2 clips similar to a seatbelt holding the seat base in.

The bottom just pulls out by lifting on the front. Someone posted a link to a video somewhere recently.

The back of the rear seats have 4 (or 6?) nuts at the bottom of the seats. I can't remember if a couple of these are for the seat belts. Once the bottom is loose, pull out slightly on the bottom and lift up. The top is held in by tabs.

Fairly easy job.
