Ruapuna Speedway in Christchurch. Done through the BMW Car Club of NZ, costs $50 a year to join, they have a few events every year, plus you get discount at a few places (mostly north island). There were about 50 cars there, and everyone had a great time. www.bmwclub.org.nz for more info

Did you manage to get your car back on the road?

It costs me 65 per year.Best part is you get 10 percent at the dealer,so small bits like filters etc are quite cheeap.....

Helmet??? We only had to wear helmets for the laps over 100, of which I managed to elude the camera...

Driving on the wrong side of the car? That's nothing, you crazy yanks drive on the wrong side of the ROAD!

We used to tease Quentin and Geoff about coming over to the States for a visit. Quentin said, "We'll be the ones in a rented Viper driving on the wrong side of the road, that's how you'll know it's us."

I still scan the roads for that elusive Viper.....
