You're right, they do. But when's the last time you seen one 12 years old with 7k miles?

Also, 3.0L not 3.2. All 95's came with the S50 motor. Correct at the bottom on specs tho.

Really hot... love the interior, but I like my girlfriend's better. Pisses me off that they used "sport" seats and not "vaders", but... that's NA for ya!

hot damn, i drove by there and saw that car! thing is, I'm 99.9% sure the previous owner was one of the guys at MSR which is in Rawley, NJ. Dan, I think his name is. He scooped that bad boy up at one of those government auctions for a decent amount less than what they're asking. Lemme do a little quick research here....

i lied, the one that the guys at MSR got had 12k miles.... here's the result, it was snaked at one of those gov't auctions:

1995 BMW M3, WHITE, 2 DR, V6, ODOMETER READS 12474, VIN: WBSBF932XSEH07424 - IR2006160050000201002 - Motor Sport Recycling INC. - $26,000

funny thing now there's 2 m3 ltw's within 50 miles of each other. Prestige is a real nice place. Real wealthy area too

that wing really does blow though. and then you see all these e36 guys putting ltw replica wings on their cars. :shudder:

i would buy it for the spoiler alone.. lol

i wonder how much weight was really saved.. they could have pulled out a lot more of the interior.

so can anyone tell me, how many hp it has? 3.0l 286hp, or is it the US 240hp model?

I read an article about some lightweight e34 M5's they built for one of the top BMW race car drivers. They saved 88 lbs! Scroll down here: http://www.bmwmregistry.com/model_faq.php?id=12

"What is an E34 M5 Winkelhock edition?
In 1991, BMW asked two of its racing drivers to design their own ideal version of an E34 M5. One of the drivers was Joachim Winkelhock, known for his success on the racing circuit with the Schnitzer E30 M3. His ideal M5 was a lightweight edition, stripped of all but the most performance-oriented items. BMW M then offered the public a package of features based on this ideal M5.

A total of 51 Winkelhock M5s were produced, all painted Jet Black (668) with contrasting lower body panels in Sterling Silver metallic (244) and including the following special equipment:
-Smaller battery* (66 volt versus 85 volt)
-Smaller gas tank* (80 liters)
-Reduced sound deadening material*
-Deletion of power rear windows, rear headrests, fog lights, headlight washers, vanity mirrors*
-Wider 255/40ZR17 rear tires on 9x17 M System I alloy wheels
-Suede-covered steering wheel, shift knob, shift boot, parking brake handle
-Evolution front sport seats in M cloth with Anthracite leather bolsters
-Red seat belts front and rear
-Special leather service book pouch, key holder and gold pin
*These changes reduced the curb weight of the Winkelhock M5 by 88 lbs. compared to the standard M5."

sigh, i miss my 95 M but the 540i suits my needs better for now. I can already see a few things that he failed to mention about the car that was never factory. The dash pod where the radio was is aftermarket and it appears to have some sort of aftermarket exhaust. Granted its low mileage lightweight but he is asking wayy too much for it. its a $25k car tops. E36 M3s are dropping in value day by day.

240hp. Also the M3 LTW was only sold in the US market, not the rest of the world. The guy who sold that guy doesnt know much about it. I wonder if he has the sual oil sump pickup for it.

How large are the normal ones? Isn't 80L is the standard e34 capacity?

kind of an OT question about the euro M3 engine - I know the north american S50 is a direct drop in for an M50 525, but is the euro engine the same in terms of installation?

sheesh, what use of a lightweight model, when you can get a normal euro m3 here, let's say '97.,with 321hp.

those laws in us surely sucked then. m3 with less than 250hp :-\ even e30m3 had 240hp....

the ltw m3 was 2950lbs. don't know how it compares to a regular e36....
