Offhand, Do know of a good tutorial to R&R the trim and the BMW part numbers for the installation clips ?
For people who want to paint or powder coat the trim pieces....

Yes, I hear from him from time to time. It was his birthday last week. He's built a new garage for working on his new found love...the MG.
Here's what he's been up to..

Why would anyone want to black out the trim? Hehe! I stripped and polished my rear window trim to match the sides... haven't gotten around to the windshield trim, yet. Thing is though, the front and rear window trims are stainless and look a whole lot better than the aluminum side trim. How hard is it to remove the side trim so I can give it a real polish?

Looks like a true life's calling. Driving 1650 miles in a restored MG sounds like a complete blast. I worked on MGAs and Bs in high school. Lovable cars for sure - and the burble of the 4-cyl engine puttering around is pretty charming. IIRC they had a car in the early 60's with 4 wheel disk brakes (MGA Mark II or something). Some modern cars from the late 90s still have drums in the rear!
