The "tranmission lock" on the gear selector on my son's 94 525 is broken and we are trying to figure out how to replace it.... Removed the shift knob and found that the plastic rod was broken just below the metal coupler. First what might this part be called and secondly how and what do we have to tear into to replace it....
TIA

Think its just called a pull rod. Site mentioned by Peter Mac could be helpful: www.realoem.com. Been useful for me. Just have your chassis number
