Can't say I like the color but The look is nice, very clean... I especially like the way the door side mouldings were deleted. If I ever repaint my car, it's the first thing I'd do. As far as this yellow is concerned, the wheels shouln't be the same color at the very least... It's just too much, IMHO...

Use the color picker in photoshop and replace the yellow with silver and you have a winner..
Or replace it with red on the body and silver on the wheels.

Hrmmm... Reminds me of the 'whiteout' look that was big in the late 80's, particularly with the tuner crowd. I wasn't a big fan of it then, still not now. I do like the removal of the side strips, tho.

Sounds like its going over big. The color is a little over the top and the yellow wheels are definitely too much. It is however, clean.

Shaved side moldings?
Last fall, I saw a calypso red 535 downtown, very clean and the side moldings were shaved and smoothed out... It looked really good... To each his own I guess...

im not generally a fan of yellow, however it looks very clean and not riced up.
if going with yellow, i would have a lot more black so it looks more like a hornet or something. that would be pretty sweet.

The color looks too much like a NYC taxi cab...

from circa late 1980s.
sterile monochromatic look inspired by German minimalism, only to be undone by the latter East L.A. Chicano adaptations of shaving the door handles and Frenching all the lights, plate frame and numerous antennae.
Was once popular with the VW GTI crowd.
I would get it up to 88 MPH and see if it will go back to 1985 when it would be appreciated.

Maybe if it were any other color besides yellow maybe someone can photoshop it, otherwise it looks pretty clean. Stock still looks best

the wheels kill the mood if the badge removal didn't already make you ill.
This is the kind of image you WISH you saw red X's for.

why are people so against badge removal?

well, there is a stark difference between debadging and removing the roundells.
i debadged because they were oxodized and it looks much cooler without.
the 530 is "in the middle" performance wise, so its not like im trying to "hide i have a 520" or "fake i have an m5", i just dont want it on there anymore.

yellow = nasty. though i suppose that having gone down said road, matched handles are pretty cool. wheels are gross. definitely needs shadowline.
if you're asking if you should replicate it, i say NO. but then i'm all about black on black. i wouldn't own the car in another color scheme, even though it's the perfect car, as far as i'm concerned.
is that a stock m-tech front bumper or what?

Would've been nicer, and yeah. Those wheels are gay. :(

mixed impressions!
silver as rreimund mentioned is always nice..but too common for this bimmer owner i think.
personally i would go for this look without hesitation (and yes i'd shave the badge too) but with white or silver color

that isnt so bad Bill. the wheels being original provide a bit of credibility. Its kind of canary yellow anyways.
However as for that other thing that is the subject of the thread i must be honest and say what would be on most folks minds. That is the ugliest, most absent minded peice of wog riced up **** I have ever seen. each to his own i am sure so I feel no problem in saying what most think ! I would seem this is something that the prince of Dubai would build cause he's got too much money and no taste. is it his? or does it belong to billy ray cyrus? maybe Kenny G freaking out and rebelling? I think it is totally sic! I mean sic as in lock the ****er up in a straight jacket sick. Ok so today wasnt a great day but its still fukd.
Lots of effort to smooth it out. Looks good w/o the rub strips and badge nice stance too. Could be very subtle and sophisticated if not screaming look at me I'm yellow.
Parked in the sun too long and melted.
