the exclusion date was 12/31/06, so it is too late to exclude yourself.
this involved the toyotas with certain 4 and 6 cyl motors made between 1997 and 2002.

I recently replaced a friend's corrola (sp?) head cover gasketand was appaled at the amount of sludge and beyond sludge (crusted oil) that I found. Its a mid-90s. Could this be the same issue? I wonder, out loud..........

my co worker bought a camry v6 for his daughter.
typical college student female she never checks the oil.
apparently kills the engine.
Toyota dealer puts in a new one to the tune of $4,000
i'm not sure exactly but I think they are covering the labor only.
luckily the car had full service records since new when he bought it or else they'd be screwed.
4g's is about what a '98 camry would cost anyway.
