Hi guys/gals.
Can anyone help - fuel gauge illumination won't work on my 520 E34 1990. I've tried changing the bulb but that hasn't cured fault. Do I need to completeley remove the instrument cluster and split it ??
Thanks

If it's not the bulb, it could just be a loose connector or contacts in need of some soldering.

A six cylinder, four valve per cylinder, chain-drive dual overhead cam engine available in 2.0 and 2.5 litre configurations, and introduced in the 1990 model year for the E34. It's easily identified by the plastic intake runners, plastic engine cover and large head. Its predecessor is the M20 engine, which has two valves per cylinder, a belt-driven single overhead cam, and aluminium intake runners.
