to see that the old ones were installed the wrong way. im suprised the car would even run if they were facing the wrong way. car seems to be running a lot better now. I didnt get a chance to flush my brakes because i broke 2 of the 4 clamps and had to find 2 to replace them. the stock ones are POS.

change em every 30000 miles if you have 2, or 15000 if you have 1.

no, the fuel actually came out clean. but the filters had a december 1999 date on them. i guess the last person put them on backwards. the arrows are supposed to face the drivers side.

The arrow is supposed to face the direction of flow, as in
tank ----> engine

In my car, and I imagine in Markus' car - the fuel line goes across from the passenger side to the driver's side before turning towards the engine again.. So that's why he referred to it that way.

Cool, just clarifying... the arrow always goes in the direction of fuel flow, regardless of which way they're mounted on a car. Just don't want to confuse anyone thinking about doing a change... easier to remember arrow goes with flow.
