OT: remember volks with a advance auto, their freon and syn oil 2 for 1 ends

tomorrow, the freon is 6.44 for 2, which is 3.22 each...about the same as sam's club without the trip or membership, and Pennzoil and Quaker state syns are 5.68 for 2. its not THAT cheap, i know, but maybe you want to convert your a/c from r12 and need some....this was the impetus for me to do the conversion, bought about 6 cans of freon, and will go back tomorrow and get 2 or 4 for the canadian relatives that have to pay over $10 cdn for a can.

they also have other little trifiling things 2 for 1 as well, like dot 3 brake fluid, brake parts cleaner, their house FI cleaner, house window cleaner....

ok then, everybody....

the product on sale is colloquially referred to as "freon" but is R134a, is the refridgerant haloalkane without chlorine in it. the product with the brand name "freon" is the refridgerant haloalkane with 2 chlorines and 2 fluorines (as opposed to the 4 fluorines in the colloquial product). if you are trying to get your chlorofluoro fix at the expense of the fine people of advance auto parts, you truly are a ham radio homo.
