Signature Image, Help

Some very helpful advice has been given here regarding this, especially Gayle's piece on photo's made easy. I still need help....got the pic to download to my signature but also with the picture came "IMG" and "/IMG" lettering on both sides of the photo. Or, am I the only one that sees that.
I used photobucket and chose the last code option. Don't call me dumbshit. Puters are not really my thing.

I went to my CP, cliked on the edit signature link,cliked the little yellow square insert picture icon and entered this url into the form and cliked ok.

img codes are used to format bbtext, same as bold and italic

replace <>'s with []'s

<img>http://www.photostorage.com/image1.jpg</img>

must have opening and closing tags
