My new Touring has self-leveling suspension in the rear. Since I cannot seem to find lowering springs or shocks for the rear, I just want to lower the front. All the after-market springs I see are sold on sets of four. Will M5 springs lower the front with the M50 engine? I'm guessing it's a lot lighter than the V8 in the M5. And if so, what would be a good shock for that set-up?

The sachs kit has essentially the same height rear springs as stock. I'd buy that and use the front springs/struts and rear springs on the LADs. You then get the benefit of the matched parts on the front end and a nice set of eibachs on the rear.
The M5 doesn't have a V8.
