Break Linning Msg

I have a 1995 525I, and I just got the message on the computer display. Break Linning, and I am wondering what that means if any one can help me out I will appreciate.

it means the brake pad sensors are telling you that the brake pads are low and are ready for a new set. They are not hard to change and there is plenty of info on here on how to do it.
