I buy a V12 for Fiona and this happens:

That S54 has the engine bearing warranty tacked on to it, don't know if it's been done, but you can't really bring the engine to the dealership without the car and expect them to honor it :)

Yeah, it showed up today, too.

My camera's a piece of trash and decided to die this weekend. I'll be documenting it, though.

Damn, the price (even the buy it now) for the s54 is amazing. I've seen s50 engines, not even including transmission go for something near 6k.

I've been looking at some of these combos as a possibility for when mine needs a transplant. I'm hoping to still get a few more years out of the current combo, but I can't see just dropping another stock m50 in there. Any of these would be a fun upgrade.

The S54 looks really tempting. Putting this sucker in is gonna open a one big ass can of worms. I might just buy it for the six speed and sell off the S54. Has anyone done the S54 swap on an E34?
