Came across this in one of my frequent ebay excursions:
One very badass 535is (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/E28-535is-Euro-bumpers-Brembo-Dinan-NO-RESERVE_W0QQitemZ230096606669QQihZ013QQcategoryZ60 08QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

It's amazing how much the euro bumpers transform the looks of the e28. The retarded DOT here in the US really had their heads up their asses when they made BMW throw on those rediculous 3 foot extensions because of "safety." This guy spent some bucks on this beauty.
Who is this guy? Santa Clause? he's giving this thing away and he's got $30K into it ? Looks like a fun car. Something about the E28 look really turns me on... http://www.antiqueclubs.com/Images5/woods%20202/limbershaftwood.jpg

Wow, thanks for that. I bet my wife would prefer that over an education, right?
What a great ad as well, very comprehensive, very well presented. Doesn't hurt that I'm sporting a huge hard one :D

Nicest looking e28 I've ever seen.

Very nice machine, he's got plenty of work in it. I'd have to change the wheels and respray that Hartge front spoiler, otherwise...That's just about perfect.

Very nice. I wonder about the $1500 paint job though. And I am just not feeling the two tone interrior, even though I am guessing that was the original style. Those minor nit piks aside, I am glad I am currently broke so I am not tempted. Maybe its new owner will bring it to bimmerfest.

Yea i would be afraid of the $1500 paint job, it even looks a bit iffy on the sides. A black interior would also be better. In any case, i think the price is way too high for what it is.

True, orange peel on the side.

i actually really like the interior, though i think installing harnesses without removing the OEM seatbelts is just bad form, not to mention lazy

True, orange peel on the side.
I noticed that also.
I'm enjoying the modifications more than I am the car.

I know this car and whoever gets it is getting a steal.
The owner is a regular on MYE28.com. Here's a link to the e28 board comments.

there is much more invested in this then he'll ever recover from selling it but he feels it needs to go toward his education so it's someone's gain.
I feel it will go for in excess of 10K and still be a good buy.
There are very few e28's this nice left.

$12,850 for an E28 with lousy paint, some rust & a very questionable interior??
The buyer, if legit, needs his head examined.

As nice an E28 as it is, its still an E28 with 160K+ miles. I'm sure its in great shape, but nearly 13K??? You can get just as nice E28 M5s and E36 M3s for that price.
I guess for the right buyer it makes sense, but geez, thats a ton of money.
