View Full Version : Stuck swaybar links

Tried replacing my ancient swaybar links today and came up with some problems. Even after covering them in PB blaster overnight they will not move even with 100+ ft-lbs of force. The bolts look to be rust damaged and softened somehow. I'm considering using an impact or a torch (at least on the lower bolts) Any suggestions on this one?

If heating doesn't work, you might have to grind them off.

That's what I did on the passenger's side top bolt 3 months ago. Cut it off, you're not reusing it anyway...

i had to use the grinder on mine.
