Went out in my E34 to Moroso tonight to test out the new configuration (new wheels, tires, shocks, 3.73 LSD).
My previous best was a 15.68 or so. I can't find the timeslip, so I don't know what my 60' and RTs were (on my previous best). Actually, I remember posting them a long time ago, maybe I can search them....
Anyway, my new best on my first run was a 15.38 @89.9 MPH (my trap speed didn't go up at all since my best time, odd). I had a 2.3 60' and a .198 RT.
The odd part was that after that first run, my runs got consistantly worse throughout the night - 15.47, 15.6, and 2 15.8s. My 60' times between runs weren't more than a second or two, so it was a power/shift difference, not just the launch. I'm thinking that I wasn't opening the hood enough to allow the intake to cool.
My best RT of the night was a .141 against an Acura TSX which I embarassed (15.8 vs 16.9)
Anyways, thats about it. Next time I'll be running my bottlecap wheels on the front to reduce weight and drag, hope I can do better.
