Any German members here like to comment?
Cheers,

Not German, but it would be sad to see newer Euro cars not having that autobahn inspired power.
I see both points, but if I had to choose, I'd stick with the autobahn.

I hate these interfering euro politicians. They want to police everything, turn the whole place into a nanny state. And they try and disguise everything as an environmental issue. Same as everything in the UK, somehow increasing taxes on everything is going to save the planet. The government are actively promoting airport expansion for example and now they want to introduce new taxes on flying due to 'environmental issues', nothing to do with raising revenue then. If you want to limit carbon emmissions on flying don't expand the airports, people will manage, supply and demand will do the rest.
Rant over, back to the point - it would be a real shame if the deristricted roads were scrapped because of these interfering half wits.
