View Full Version : Sweet 16th Birthday for the ///M5

This is the "birthmark" of my M5. As you probably already know it took a team of 7 techs two weeks to build this car. After it was finished and checked, the team leader signed the car. I was lucky enough to find the signature still there after all these years while changing over to euro bumper trim.

The signature gives the date in typical German fashion, but I have trouble making out the name of the tech.

Now that phase 2 of the suspension rebuild is in place (birthday gift for the beast) it handles like new again.

Maybe she'll last another 16 years....

I was going to ask how you went about finding out the specific birthday for your car, as mine will be 16 soon as well, but i don't know the day.

Very nice Jr. Sometimes I still think about that white M5 that got away... it's most useful now as a sympathy tool with my wife when I need that extra justification for something :)

Looks like "Freddy" to me, but you would expect Hans or Gunther or something more German.
