removing steering wheel

hey guys im trying to remove my steering wheel and the god damn 16mm bolt holding the thing on doesnt want to break free. im worried im gonna snap this damn thing off into the shaft. or am i just not applying enough force?

Get a breakerbar. If you're worried that you might snap something from torsion, have a buddy hold onto the wheel or something.

Try tightening it as well, even if it moves in the wrong direction, the bolt's broke.

I went through the same thing with my e30 last week. Then I got real mad and thought "whatever, if something breaks, who cares," and I got it with nothing else harmed.
