Cd Changer from a 97 328 will it fit?

Wondering if a cd-changer from a 1997 328 would fit into my 1994 525i? Is the changer cable already in my car? How do I find it?

look for a "CD" sticker, just pull back the driver's side panel uand look up under the rear self for a bundle of wires.

you should have a data cable and a power cable.

The most imortant part to match up is the terminal and number of pins on the data cable. if they match your in luck.

The cd changer from the 3 series is smaller than the oem changer for the e34. There will be no problem mounting it as long as you get some brackets for it. I do not think the cd changer will work with the e34 though. The plugs are completely different but I could be wrong. Verify the plug in your car and the output on the changer to see if they are identical before you buy.
