View Full Version : can't decide which rims to pick up
alright well i have a choice right now between a set of
- 8Jx17 BBS RC090 (style 5), but 2 of the mags need refinishing, and need new bolts all around (anyone know where to get replacement parts for theses, bigger lips, chrome bolts?)
or
- 2x 8Jx17, 2x 9Jx17 e39 540i style 32, good condition
they're both around the same price
it's for a 1990 bmw 525ia white

while the look of the style 5 is fantastic, they are a pain to clean.
after you pay to refinish the 5's you might regret the amout of money it has cost.
i wasn't a fan of the 32's until I bolted them on my car yesterday. They are a nice wheel and internet photos dont do it justice.

Kind of biased to the Style #32's...

do any of you have a white e34 with these wheels, if so can you post some pics
thanks!!:D
I love the style 5's, but I'm gonna vote Style 32's just for the fact that you don't have to spend more money to refinish/repair.... It sounds like you're gonna spend about $700+ just refinishing them (I think a set of new bolts is about $250 alone)
well i'm asking around right now for new lips and bolts, have to wait and see what the prices are
i'm asking at kodiac motorsport, and lufteknic
does you guys know of anywhere else in north america?

if I was gonna take out my acs i'd go for the BBS because it has more of that classic look...blends well with the car...thats my opinion anyways:D bout that photoshop i don't know how to work that sh#t hehehe hell ive been trying to resize my photo signature for the past hour... cant figure the sh$t out...its too damn big:p
lol, it's all good, i love the classic look on the car, i think the 32's are out of place
but it seems that the 32's are winning now

style 5 duh
right on, bro.
If you like cleaning them, you'll be happier.
Just buy them, otherwise sell them to me.
QUESTION FOR ALL OF YOU:
What is the name for the 18" style 5s?
(seeing as the 17" wheels are "BBS RC090")
