Simple Question

I love my 525i, and I have been thinking about to buy a Range Rover, and I need some advise from you guys. if any of you have ever owned a Ranger Rover, can you please tell me how good are those cars. Are they as good as the E34.
I will appreciate any advice.

my dad had a range rover once and its a nice car, but me personally i don't want to own one...specially when the suspension broke!GOD!my dad spend big money on the air susp.

I have a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser with the 4.7L V-8 and absolutely love it. 100% made in Japan under strict quality control. I haven't had it off-road much but it's built like a tank and makes a great tow vehicle. 123k on it now with only very minor DIY repairs. You can bargain them down for cheap if they're approaching 90k which is when the timing belt needs replacing -- no brainer DIY for < $300, but can be safely postponed well into the 100+k mile range.
