I have searched the forums and not really found the answer that I am looking for. I have a 94 530im with 18" m5 wheels with the stock suspension. My brother works for a tire store and is giving me a set of Goodyear Eagle f1 GS-D3's 255/40ZR18 and 275/40ZR18. My fenders have the slight fender roll in the V shape (from the factory) and I have read about people using 275's on the rear but not anything about 255's on the front. I have 245's all around right now, and I just wanted to throw this out there to see if anyone had any advice. It is a free set ($200+ per tire new) and I would hate to pass them up.

Do you plan on lowering it? if so, don't do it. I cant even begin to tell you how much you will hate rubbing on every turn with 255's...
275's will fit on the back without a question, if you lower it, you may have to have them rolled more, but i would not go with 255's its pointless.
The size of the tires is a little off also, you will exceed the stock diameter going with 255/40's. Stock diameter will be close with 255/35's and 275/35's.

You need to sell them and buy the right size. Throw em on Craigslist and do the right thing. The fronts are big, and even the 275/40's on the rear bother me.
