So I just got my car back from the local BMW independent service specialist, and it's great that they charge only a fraction of what a $tealer would. I noticed on my tax invoice that the mechanic used "WIND SCREEN CLEANER SOLVENT" and now my auto-dimming rear vision mirror has coloured bands.
The top is yellow, the middle is clear (normal) and the bottom is dark blue. This is starting to **** me a little because auto-dimming mirrors from what I've heard are not the easiest things to come by, and I love this feature on my BMW.
I haven't tested it yet to see if the mirror is still dimming at all, I'm wondering if anyone knows if this side effect will pass over time, or is my mirror well and truly stuffed now?
