View Full Version : KIlmate Kontrol Blues
I finally removed and disassembled the Klimate Kontrol dash panel today in my efforts to fix the intermittent blower situation. I cleaned the sensor/fan assembly and cheked all the wiring which appeared to be fully intact. Upon reassembling the dash and trying the system it did not respond.
I now suppose its between the KKM ,Resistor and the Blower Motor itself. Is there anything one can do to the Module or resistor to repair or clean or are they swap out items?

intermittent blower situation
In case your car has a 'sword' concentrate on the sword.
The sword is for the blower fan speed.
Search for posts by pundit, he has repaired the sword, the relay in the handle of the sword.

Much appreciated though i don't have the sword [build date 12-13-94] has the box. I encountered it when i changed the micro-filter . I've read somewhere it's failure is rarely the cause of intermittent blower function so i guess its more likely the fan motor brushes.Still hoping i could eliminate anything else before draining the coolant to get at the fan behind the expansion tank but it could use a flush anyway so may as well.
