contstructed.
Materials and design are made to handle fuel and resist softening from oil and heat.

Hmm OK, well the material they use for heater lines is usually made to withstand high temperatures for long time. Not sure how hot the fuel gets. I noticed that heater lines are in general also beefier than fuel lines.

Why not just use fuel line for fuel and heater hose for the heater? It's not like we're talking about a huge savings.

Logically I don't think so and again No based from the experience of a friend of mine from the Benz World. He did the samething ended up more problems.

I dont think you will have a problem using fuel line in there. I think fuel injection line might be a bit beefier since it can handle a LOT of pressure. The chemicals in the antifreeze and temperature should not be a problem.

a big box hardware store like lowes or home depot should have 3/8 heater hose. just look for the one with "heater hose" on the hose itself, no need to worry about accidentally picking up garden hose or dishwasher return hose.

I have a piece of fuel hose 'pinch hitting' for a coolant line that come right off my M50 head. Its been in there 4 years now. I've dis-assembled my engine twice and felt no need to replace this bit, its doing the trick just fine and I wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

I think fuel line would be fine - as long as it's for EFI cars (high pressure).
