Finally got my 5-sp trans installed, and the clutch pedal is super soft, to the point that I wonder if it's got enough force to overcome the over-center spring. This can't be normal...
Specifics:
Auto to Manual trans swap - 1/87 735i donor car
New BMW/Sachs clutch kit
Flywheel is freshly turned '87 735i single mass flywheel
New BMW master cylinder and slave cylinder
Used a stainless braided line directly from master to slave cylinder
Clutch seems to engage and disengage fine at about the over-center point of the pedal travel, clutch doesn't slip. Bled the clutch about 10 times, not getting any air out with fluid...
WTF, how do I get rid of this wet-noodle clutch? It makes it hard to control the clutch with it being so soft...
