We have hundreds of fake users signing up trying to spam the board. So, what I've done is turned off auto signups, and I have to moderate new users (manually approve). If you want to get onto the site and become a member, it may take some time. To help me out you can put your model number in your user name. Or you can alrernately PM me that you want on. Sorry for the delay. Seems we made some list or something. Very strange to have been hit so hard so fast. Mostly email ID's from ".ru". So if you're using an email addy ending in .ru, you may not get on.
Did you manage to put in the image verification for registration at least?

I've done successful server upgrades (sfwr upgrades, and additions all in place), and the next step is exactly that. I just have to migrate the DB. All the stars are lined up. I just have to find time. As always, I'm slow, but steady. They used to call me Steady Eddie.
Thanks for asking.

No matter about the time Ed, just keep up the good work. We all have all the time in the world :) Great to see you're doing such a good job on keeping the forums up and running, alive and well.

My site has been hit by a lot of hotpop.ru e-mail addresses. Damn those bastards.

Interesting Ed. The 318Ti.Org site got hit very heavily last month and there was speculation that the attack, which originated in Russia, was not so much to access the board but chew up its bandwidth. All very puzzling.

Nice work ED, by far the best Forum about, even with Winfreds jokes! Seems to be a glitch with logging on in Europe on Sundays, been like it for three weeks, only about 7 hours tho. Only a suggestion but how about an identifier for country of thread origin? would make life a bit easier for us to understand the American language!
