The number is written in the outside part of the DME. The DME is located in a black box under the hood, in the right side.
Ahhh, also, the DME says DME outside, so is very easy to know if you have the correct part.

No there is nobody testing any m60b30 version at all.

I could get that ready pretty soon if I had a tester. I could probably send you a chip to try out, it will be simpler than the auto to finish off. Please send me an email with your contact info.

Postage to Australia by airmail is about $9

I expect that you need the 413 EWS chip. You can tell me the colur of the label on your DME (brown or grey) and I'll know which chip to send.

I have a version that Jeff had tested, but I never finalised it, then it got cold and I think Jeff didn't want to work in the cold. Now I have all the equipment that I was going to send Jeff for develpment lent out to the person who ships my chips. I'll see if I can find a car here (I saw one yesterday at a garage)

The chip should be good for at least a 5 to 8% torque increase.

I didn't want to tune it with winter oxiginated fuels because it might not act the same way as with summer fuel. There is a definite increase compared to the stock chip.

You need the EWS chip for the 0 261 2043 484 DME. Currently I send an EPROM reader to owners of that car and they send me a file. I'm in the process of making a generic chip for it.

Should I go to your site and order the chip first and request the Eprom reader be shipped? Any additional charge for this? Or would it be better to send you my chip... I can handle a week of downtime with the car if I plan in advance.

Nobody is currently testing that one, but I had sold a few some years ago and the results were good. I'd like to have a look at that again and release it.

your car was made July 94 so there's no problem with the EWS-II issue that has to be dealt with on the later cars.

You can order from my website using PayPal, and don't forget to put the discount code "BI-MAYSALE" in the comments field so I know I have to apply the discount.

As mentioned in post #28, the sale was extended till May 28. All refunds will be sent after that day, and by June 1 at the latest.

Gains below 6000 rpm are around 23 hp. I don't advertise 43 hp as the other guys do as that sort of increase is only above 6200 rpm where the stock chip is falling off in torque. You should see better MPG.

i didn't have the problem before the chip. I broke the chip in really hard after install, and i think that might have been the issue. I reset the ecu and broke it in in my normal driving style and i still have the occasional shudder in 3rd but it is much less noticeable and happens far less often.

could it be from the off idle fuel map?
