Mine has a small leak. Is it true you have to raise the engine to get the oil pan off?

So I assume that nobody on this board has ever changed an oil pan gasket on an E34 motor?

you have an M60B30 motor... I believe that you can remove the oil pan by removing the oil level sensor connection and then removing 20 or so 10mm bolts.
He has an M30B34.

I've already done this procedure to my 535i. I did a simple search of the forum and found all the answers I got when I did mine. Try this...

Thanks for the info. I will now leave the job for and pay someone else to do it. Too much for me!
