It's listed under Inspection II in Bentley's. But I can't locate instruction for it. Anyone done this before?

Nope, AST+C is not the micro filter, it's traction control. I had no idea it had a filter. (?)

Do not think our cars really have such a filter, unless it relates (in some way) to those with self leveling suspension. Just not sure??

It has the diameter of a 1 $ coin and height is also very small, but the price is high, paid about 50 $ for it.
Here in comparison to a 100 Yen coin

And, Russel, it has nothing to do with LAD, it's for ASC+T.
LAD filter is at the bottom of the Pentosin reservoir.

Please tell me more. Where is the asc*t filter and how critical is it to change?

According to Inspection II. We are suppose to change the filter. I haven't found any thing through searching about it other than that.
Patrick at BMA: "ACS-T filter - need a part # - I think it might be this - 32 41 1 132 844"
I googled using the part number too and nothing came up. Probably will call the dealer and ask about the part.

On my '94 540ia it is on the right ( passenger side) between the frame rail and engine ( doing this from memory) - you have to remove the shields from below and then follow the PS line that goes cross car. It is a small canister, that from below looks has a hex nut shape that changes into the canister shape. I haven't changed mine.
