Looking underneath the car today and the rear swaybar bracket looks like it's going to break off. It started getting like this, I mean bending towards the ground after I installed the 22mm rear swaybar. This is the drivers side and the other side is the same, although not as bad. Has anyone used larger swaybar bushes in the back or reinforced mounts. I could probably get the manufacturer to make me some larger bushes, but I would also need to source some brackets and get them welded on for it to work. What should I do guys?

I bet a neighborhood shop can weld it up for you pretty easy, and coat it with some anti-rust goop. If it were me I would just find someone trustworthy with a welder and a lift and see what they'd charge to stiffen up both sides.
Good to see you're using the sways to the fullest though!

Thanks for your comments Robin. I would still like to run some stronger mounts though. Maybe the front swaybar brackets could be made to work in the rear. I still don't know.

I looked underneath the car today and the rear swaybar mount broke off. The metal on the other side of were the clip goes has all disappeared. I haven't even been driving hard or driving that much either.

What should I do now? Is there anyway to reinfoce the old mount. I haven't found any aftermarket alternatives for the e34.
Edit: Can i run without a rear swaybar?

you could run with out a rear sway i think....just no fast, quick, sudden turns...

Yeah you can run, just dont put any power on while you're going around a corner, otherwise you'll find yourself spinning out... be careful!

I used to run my Jeep with *no* swaybars :D Yeah, I know kinda irrelevant in terms of usage. It really looks like the factory setup for mounting the swaybar is weak. It would probably be better to gut the stuff on the other side of this mount (carpet, insulation or whatever else that can burn up there) and make up a new overkill heavy duty set of brackets and weld them in there.
Grind off the old setup and make up a bigger, thicker, new one.

So I got the rear swaybar mounts attached again.

The shop went over the welds on the old metal bit that was still there, the mounts didn't break but the metal attaching the the mounts was breaking loose (on the drivers side) and broke apart and fell off on the passengers side. The metal was reinforced slighly by welding more metal onto the subframe, a small triangular piece.
