View Full Version : Water from the underdash?
My gas pedal sneaker suddenly became wet today with the AC on max for a few hours. The carpet panel felt damp and it did not smell like Coolant. Is there an overflow channel which may be clogged allowing the condensation to flood in behind the center console area next to the gas pedal area? If so where are the avenues to remedy this? Thanks,

Remove the carpet in the footwell on each side of the console. It's only one or two screws each, as I recall. You'll see short rubber hoses that run from the heater box to the console floor. Remove the rubber hoses and run a coathanger wire or equivalent down the hole to clear it.
Thanks... i assume they attach to some drain system to which after i pull them and clear them i can also readily reattach them and they don't just rain into the foam damping insulation thus rotting my undercarrige... right :)?

Yup. They drain under the car, and they're easy to detach and reattach.
