I just did my first oil change today and the oil has some gas smell to it. Is this normal?

It could be a sign of leaky fuel injector.

So if I didn't warm up the car properly, there should be no gas smell? How expensive is this to fix? How hard is the DIY? Thanks.

Little bit of gas smell in oil is normal. If you don't have any starting problem, cold or hot... especially hot, then I don't think you have an injector problem. It is a good thing to run some Lubro Moly Jectron and Venti Sauber cleaners through it to clean your injector and valves once a year...

Thanks, I don't know if I should feel any better since the car doesn't have any starting problem yet (knock on wood). Where do you get the injector cleaners mentioned above?

bma have it... I bought them online... just type in Lubro and it will pop up.
Was the crankcase overful before changing? My guess is that unless the odor was strong everything is fine. Especially if car is used for lots of short trips.
