Anyone know how to remove the gas pedal? Need to get the carpet out

So.. how did you manage to change the carpet from tan to black?

I pulled all of the seats. Pulled the center console. Then I used a steak knife and cut around the center hump and removed the old carpet. Trick is to keep it close to the area around the heater core and such. Lay in the new carpet. In my case it was a great used carpet. Once you reinstall the center console you will not be able to tell the difference.

I just did the same thing, swapped out my carpet and what a difference it makes. Just be careful, if you are cutting the carpet around the heating and cooling components, not to accidently cut into any wires. And thanks for sending me those pictures detailing how to remove the pedal, what a life saver...
