My 535 is manual, it reach 285000 km, i am trying to found out what could be the cause of a front noise when the car is running on the road, that noise starts at a low level 6-9 months ago the noise level increases since than.
From the driver seat it first appears to me to come from the right front wheel (either bad tire... was then on Nokian winter tire... or wheel bearing). When i change from winter to summer tire (to good Bridgestone GO09) the noise does not disappears nor changes (like a road noise).
But from the passenger seat the noise seems to come from the left front wheel !!
Actually the noise pitch increases (gets like a whistle one) when running over 120 km / hr (over 70 miles).
The noise change with the speed of the car but stay the same what ever is the transmission selection 1,2,3,4,5 or if i put the transmission in the neutral position when running.
When spinning free the front wheel i have no indication of bad bearing, could it be a symptom of bad central bearing or a transmission problem or something else ?
