OT: Anybody use Free-To-Air satellite (FTA)?

Figured this might be a good place to ask... I'm getting a DirecTV setup, but was also considering FTA for a free "suppliment", or maybe all-out replacement...

I've tried looking at the sites, but I'm totally overwhelmed... And I need a little more direct information about exactly what you can recieve with these when setup properly, what "getting them set up" entails, and what kind of maintenance they require... and it's hard to read between the lines of those boards.

with fta legit you can see some lame tv for free, but with hacked fta, you get all of dishnetwork or bell expressvue, movies, pay per view,,,, all of it.

pretty easy to do, it all depends on your computer ability, reading/understanding skills and patience.
