Control Message

I get various warning messages but key in ignition and lights only come on like 2% of the time.

I am thinking something to do with ignition key switch that needs cleaning?

you really tried and gave us a lot of information.

please try to take a shot of the lights and the msgs....it would be easier to help you then.

The check control warnings works as they should with all but 2 such warnings. The 2 warnings that do not work properly are 1. Key in ignition and 2. lights on?. The latter 2 messages will work as they should about 2% of the time.

I am looking for advise on what to service to correct the problem.

he's saying his warning message come on (his instrument cluster display works fine-i'm blanking on what its called) but the friendly "Lights on" and "key in ignition" messages don't always come on when they're supposed to. I found that a couple times my lights on message didn't come on but I figured maybe The ignition was in the wrong place or the radio was on or something weird like that (I have no idea). SO, does anyone understand what triggers those messages and why they wouldn't come on?
