I am on my 2nd last day at my work, just thought i'd let everyone know that I finally got the job I was aiming for, and will be starting in early July. I am so happy but a bit nervous at the same time. I also realised that perhaps I was a bit dramatic when i first posted about my work issues (http://www.bimmer.info/forum/showthread.php?t=32618&highlight=leave+job) :p .
But everything worked out well in the end, so I'll have some more time alone with my e34 as she won't be my daily driver anymore. and hopefully this company that I'll be working for will give me some more opportunities for development.

Glad it all worked out for you.
We don't mind a little drama when it comes to major decisions in life ! :D

Enjoy the last days at work. You may find everybody smiles at you a lot in the next few days. Dont take this in any way as their relief that you are going :) All the best with the new job!

Yeah everyone's been really good about it. Especially my boss, I mean its hard on one hand because i didn't think that poorly of my job, there just weren't enough opportunities to move up and tackle new challenges:(
hopefully i'll get a chance to drive a 280 tonne Crane before i go.

I just resigned from my job after six years.
I'm taking 3 - 6 months off to do my own thing then I'll look into the solar power industry.
Life's to short to be stuck in an underpaid job generating large incomes for incompetent people you have absolutely zero respect for.
Congratz man, good to hear things going your way.

I work for Sharper Image, interesting job - I dumped a grocery store job for this one, and I'm damn sure happy that I did. Great college job.
