no clue, what are them numbers from? You could have just ordered the arms with the M5 bushings already installed from BMAparts or your favorite supplier.

Right, that's what i want.. M5 bushings... what would you order if you wanted M5 Upper Control Arm Bushings? 92 was the last E34 M5 ,I have an E34 540 the bushings fit in the arms . I Just had NEW arms with 740I bushings installed last year but the bushings are failing so i want to try , as recommended here, the e34 M5 UCA bushings...I have to assume the arms will still be ok.
are they aluminum arms?
UPPER CONTROL ARMS=IRON... Talking bout Upper CA>.. did the e34 M5 NOT have UPPER CONTROL ARMS like all the other E34? I know the LOWER Control Arms are Aluminium and get replaced with bushings together.. not talking about Lowers..
Them are the right ones. 31 12 2 226 528. They come packaged 2 per box. You might get lucky and end up with 2 boxes (Pelicans) if you order qty=2. I put a set in mine last year and they're holding up just fine. Makes the turn-in a little crisper too.

That's what i hoped to hear..Thanks a million..
it sounds like you don't know what you're talking about... do you have a comprehensive thread with more info on the work you plan to do?

I can't imagine how you arrived at that conclusion as i laid it all out in the opening post. Its not important I have what i need to know now. I'm putting sachs struts and shocks in , buying new rear mounts just in case and having new M5 Upper Control Arms replace the current, year old 740I bushings in the arms. The only thing of which i was at all unsure and there really was no reason for the uncertainty its just a simple case of my mind being struck with self doubt ,happens all the time whenever i am making an important decision immediately the nagging doubts attack so when i can i like to ask someone who's reliability i trust to confirm my understanding which then removes any room for doubt and i can move on. I only asked for opinions of the merits of the two shock brands and weather there was another M5 Upper Control Arm Bushing i should be getting to replace mine or not . I have all the answers i sought and therefore no need to carry this out any further.

UPDATE** They arrived a few minutes ago.. wow if only every order was so snappy.. I was suprised to see the bushings have just three rubber segments around the center and aren't solid as the others...I guess there's less material to tear then ,huh?
