Gas !

What type of gas a you guys using in your cars. I have a 95 540i with a EAT chip using 93 octane, my main question is what gas station are you going to. I notice a difference in my proformance and idle when I use BP or Amoco 93 octane, I have been using Sunoco and Circle K brand gas quite a bit lately.

Shell or BP. I try to go to the busiest station I can find. Freshness is just as important as the quality. Especially with the ethanol now.

Seriously though, when i put regular in there once, the engine didnt sound too good. No I don't have a chip.

I use Esso - 95% of our petrol stations over here are Esso..
Tried Shell, no noticeable difference, tried Total and that seems to run worse..
If I'm feeling flush it'll get Super (98 octane), otherwise just Regular 95 'cos it's cheaper :D

I had been using whatever 87 octane was cheapest in my M30, and recently started using Shell 93. Man, what a difference. I'll never put anything but Shell's premium in my car ever again. Haven't gotten my chip yet, but it's on the way :).
