1. My right Turn Signal Arrow doesn't light up. My actual turn signals work, but that arrow on the gauge doesn't light up. I checked the bulb and it works fine in another socket.
2. I still haven't figured out why TRANS PROGRAM comes on. There's nothing wrong with the shifting. It sometimes comes on as soon as i start my car or sometimes after a minute of driving. When trans program error comes on, the gear selection screen shuts off.
Anyone have answers?
Thanks!

*Watches this thread trampoline with all the bumps*
1) How's your battery?
2) How's your alternator?
3) How's your trans fluid levels?

battery-good
alternator-good
fluid level-good
Also, the shifting of my tranny seems to be unaffected, just the error msg.

In that case shoguns probably dead on - pull the selector unit and give it a clean :)

The problem with trans prog started when i got a new gauge cluster from a newer E34. '92 to be exact.
My last gauge cluster's gas/temp/check control completely failed so i bought a new one from the junkyard. well not new but you know.
