I just ran across a wind deflector in my garage, if i remember correctly, i took it from an junked E30 some time long ago. I tried to put it on my car and it fits but it is exactly the width of the sunroof. It's not as wide as this one shown in the picture...

Is the E30 wind deflector the same size of an E34 wind deflector?

Probably not, aren't E34s wider than E30s anyway?

lol its not we dont like it.....ok ok we dont like it but ask yourself weather you REALLY need it, i hardly use my sunroof, dont know about you but unless you spend 3 weeks wages on a hairdo each week that you CANT mess up i wouldnt buy a deflector. just tilt the sunroof up if your worried about the wind instead of opening it the whole way up.
just reread you were concerned about the NOISE issue....may i suggest some quality earmuffs? such as these...

they keep your ears warm AND would block out some of that pesky noise

LMFAO!
The noise that i am talking about is when my sunroof is closed. I have it tilted most of the time and only open it all the way when driving on a cool night. The noise is expected when it's open but not when it's closed.
