Pulled the left side and shredded my hand on this:

(Yeah I know it's raining, I'm not letting the rain stop me working on the damn car, after all we're British, what's sunshine?)

Swapped it for a reverse tread spare, looks like I've gotta get two new rear tyres fitted.

While I'm at it, just been digging in the phone for those images and found some interesting ones:
Lol, gotta love the diesel diff for motorway MPG, (and both of these had the cruise set on level ground.)

Hope thats water and not brake fluid on that pad! New brake pad wear sensors are only about a fiver - and thats from the dealer :) Rain, what rain? Just dont go visiting anybody in Sheffield with tyres like that :)
How the heck did you do that to the tire?

the diesel dash clusters are a lot kooler than the regular E34 ones.

Except for the fact it says 'diesel' on the fuel gauge and the sickeningly good mpg, it could my dash. I guess you get a heater plug light or something but what else do you get thats extra?

It looks like your rims are bent on the inner wall. It looks like your negative camber was set to suicide mode and got a little out of hand.. for about 30000 miles. It looks like you have brake fluid all over your brake pads. It looks like it shouldn't be there unless something expensive exploded. Damn man, that is one scary tire. Fortune cookie say

Slightly, its still balanced up though.

Actually these tyres have been transferred from the front to the back, I could tell by the brake dust patterns. The PO has realised that the lower control arms are shot to **** and have destroyed the inside track of the tyre... and transferred them onto the back.
Hence why these lemforder beauties are sat on my dining table:

(That half-chewed cookie's there just for you, btw.)

It looks like you didnt read the bit where I said it was raining...! I meant like full scale british rain, not some pansy ass drips out of the sky. My flatmate called me crazy for working in that level of rain.
Damn man, that is one scary tire. Fortune cookie say
Yes it is, but I think the 'you're ****ed' bit might have been a little bit of an over-reaction.

All of them have the curly glow plug lamp on em, they've just not got any bulbs in em.
On this model, instead of it saying 'CHECK ENGINE' on that lamp, it's got a picture of a fuel injector... straaange.

Do diesels lack the check control display? Something seems missing in that cluster... (sorry this has nothing to do with your tires/rims/chaos)

my rear tyres looked like that.I got a flat(surprise!) and when i changed em they were like that(soon after i bought the car).I suspect they had been swapped from the front because my current tyres dont look anything like that

EU spec, anything less than a 525i doesnt come with the check control as a standard part, you had to have it fitted as an expensive extra.
IE all the 518i's 520is and Diesels have a bog standard dash...

And as the stomp test doesnt work on EU models you arent missing much. Just out of interest, does your check engine (injector) light comes on when you turn ignition on?

Yeah, the diesels are the only ones that do, not tried a stomp test on it yet to see if it works...

Not managed to fit em yet, trying to balance out work, wife, moving house and the in(out)laws visiting this weekend.
Cookies help, but I'd rather shoot the bit.. er, mother-in-law.
