Its probably a nice, clean 320 with and M-kit... Is that a problem??It's worth about 9k if it's any good. But if its been messed up like many of the faux M cars, the value spirals down fast.
eBay is no place to sell a BMW anyhow...

why spend the time putting on all the little m badges on when:
1: its not an m3
2: you dont even do it properly
and then try to sell it as an m sports and bump up the price by 7 thousand dollars.

2: you dont even do it properly
and then try to sell it as an m sports and bump up the price by 7 thousand dollars. It's the age old case of M-confusion, practiced ad-nauseum by dealers and wannabe dealers since the M division itself began... buyer beware the M-fused POs with too many Ms on their mind that they can no longer count the $. From now on I've decided to count out any car I might look at if it has an auto box. That makes a good start at counting out the worst of them.
The root cause though is BMW's own M-Marketing...

BMW did sell 4 door auto versions of the e36 M3 - I hope that was a one time lapse. However, with the blurring of the lines between the old slush boxes and the newer units, the third pedal could be in jeopardy of extinction.

actually, the 4 door e36 M3 is popular with racers as there is less body flex - the car is much stiffer.

dont worry you didnt miss much, all you need to find is an auto 320i and imagine little m's stuck randomly across the car, but forgetting to put half of them on, then you take the price and double it! those little m logos cost a right penny you know!
