Jehu= King of Israel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehu
16 So Jehu rode in a chariot[My license plate says MERKAVA,Hebrew for Chariot], and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.
17 Now the watchman stood on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said: 'I see a company.' And Joram said: 'Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say: Is it peace?'
18 So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said: 'Thus saith the king: Is it peace?' And Jehu said: 'What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.'[This is like saying;"Get out of my way"] And the watchman told, saying: 'The messenger came to them, but he cometh not back.'
19 Then he sent out a second on horseback, who came to them, and said: 'Thus saith the king: Is it peace?' And Jehu answered: `What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.'
20 And the watchman told, saying: 'He came even unto them, and cometh not back; and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi;for he driveth furiously

Logon I use for a lot of stuff, as well as any formal signatures. It's more professional than "Drew", or "Andrew", which is what my friends call me.

Pingu rocks! Brings back many good childhood memories!
Well, my screen name in IRC is LunatiC, so I decided to make it the same on this board, and many others that I frequent as well. I had Greek Lunatic (apparently a friend of mine at the time thought that it rhymed well) as my screen name on IRC many years ago back in high school (I have a Greek background), but dropped the Greek because I didn't feel that I needed to advertise that background online, as it gave others the chance to stereotype me before even getting to know me at all.

That's awesome. When I first saw the images of the Eagle Nebula after the HST repairs for myopia, I thought they were paintings. HST may be old, but it rocks!

brodee
07-12-2007, 03:13 PM
Jason Lee's character Brodie Bruce from Mallrats. Brodie was always taken so I used brodee. Funny when I meet people that know me from forums they all think it's my name.

Zeuk in Oz
07-12-2007, 06:43 PM
"Zeuk" is just a random name derived from my oldest son's nickname "Zoik" that came to me when I needed to post on this forum to ask a question.
I actually thought I would only be using it once or twice so didn't bother coming up with anything more imaginative. Little did I know I would still be active here 3 years later with a growing flock of 5 series BMWs to maintain.
"in Oz" might seem obvious but as a Swede of Icelandic descent living in Australia it serves to remind me of who and where I am as well as other forum frequenters.
Allows me to check my licence while writing a cheque and talking about bonnets and boots and mudguards muddy from tyres that have turned a brown colour in autumn. ( Spelling as the Queen's English intended. ) :D

Podmore
07-12-2007, 09:19 PM
Back in my Army days I used to write a cartoon strip for the Army News paper that I titled "Podmore" - Podmore being my alter ego, a Sapper (Engineer) Major long since passed over for further promotion, who always had a dig at the top brass, the system, or anything else that I could screw a laugh out of. I regularly use Podmore as a nom-de-plume.

My name...
Dunno why I ended up with this, as I am St.Nick everywhere else in cyberspace.
The St.Nick thing came from the fact that I have excellent moral fibre... Never cheated on a partner, never smoked pot, never been arrested, never been in a fist fight, always polite and nice... a saint. I use this pseudonym when I DJ too.

Well, I drive a BMW, so it goes.
More to the point though, I mean to buy never another brand of car for the rest of my days. I am so satisfied and somewhat amazed at my e34 every time I step out of it, how else could it go.
It's a dream come true for me.

Kobe Diesel

Kobe Diesel - the mfr. of slow-speed diesel engine that powered a ship I worked aboard. Engines built in Kobe, Japan for Mitsubishi.
Now, I work on a ship that is powered by Burmeister & Wain diesel (B&W in the marine industry). So it would be best to change my username to reflect the current, "B&W Diesel". Has a better ring doesnt it?
