I got sick of always having to dremel my bulbs all the time, as they burn out faster.
Not only are you buying them, but you've got to take tons of time to get all your crap out to dremel them just right. Gets old after about 4-5 times.

Call me ignorant, but why are you guys using 9500 and not H1 globes? Is this a US headlight issue (I know they are different to Euro lights, which is what we have here in Oz)?
Different type of bulb for different light. Freeforms and most NA lights are 9006.
When I did them, I just used a dremel. Takes about 2-3 minutes in total. I did a Silverstar (crappy one) for a buddy's Accord and it blew out in two months lol.

I used an exacto knife and it only took like 3 or 4 jabs to cut it off. I got HID's now though, but I put them in my fogs so its 6 months and counting on them...knock on wood

really? my old Silverstars are still going strong after some 3 years, and 3 completely different cars (DSM, E34 & now wife's Saturn).
I used a hot knife. It's not quite like butter, but nearly. You could always just swap to a 9005 connector like I did on the last conversion I did for a friend. Then you only have to mod the tab each time which takes all of 4 seconds.

Not really.... they also are much shorter lived then 9006. You will burn it out in no time.

mine lasted a couple years then i sold the car so not sure if they are still going, maybe the guys that blow through them are getting their greasy mitts on the bulbs and not cleaning them good enough, the oil will create a hot spot

x2
3 years and 3 cars on a single set of bulbs...
And I've had 9005s last upwards of 6 years.
