Anyone know of a source for protective rim/wheel wheel covers for my older 15 inch rims. I want to store some older rims and i just want to cover them.

I have seen soft covers that are apparently used for new wheels as my 17 inch wheels I just purchased has 3 of the wheels with soft covers for 17 inch wheels. Cannot seem to goggle them. Any help is appreciated. TIA

Storage covers for wheels, as in without tires on them? Never heard of such. Bavauto.com (and others) sell a set of four Tire Totes or a bag to cover a 4-tire stack made of car-cover material.

not it. Thanks for your help. They cover rims only and are sized to wheel size. I am going to try to get some from a local store that sells custom wheels. Many wheels are deliveredd with this sort of cover. Many Rondells are.

So, what are they made of? Styrofoam? Tyvek? Bags? Rigid material?

Soft cloth like material. It appears to be fuzzy on the inside surface where it touches the wheel while the outside surface is smoother perhaps waterproof surface capable of name imprinting. The material can be crushed up like a cloth or towel.

What's wrong with an old towel and a trash bag? If I had your money I'd throw mine away.

Nothing I suppose. I was even going to put the old wheels in a trash bag with the covers and store them in wheel boxes.

However, I just want the covers if I can find them.

Trash bag is too slippery... when you stack 4... they will all fall off.

Tell that to the ones stacked in my garage.

FYI, I picked up 4 soft covers today at a tire store/speed shop that specialized in custom tire-wheel combos. They just went to the dumpster and pulled out 4 covers at random. Also lots of wheel boxes that would be good for storage/shipping.

FYI, the guy I got my wheels from only charged $75 to ship from the UPS store 4 wheels insured totaling 120 pounds in 2 boxes. Most sellers on e-bay charge twice as much.
